  1. One more: I can’t help putting in a plug for Peggy Kaye’s marvelous books:
    –Games For Reading
    –Games For Math
    –Games For Writing
    –Games For Learning

Peggy Kaye tutored kids who were struggling in the classroom and who had come to dislike doing any of these things and to think of themselves as hopeless or stupid. She takes the pressure off with activities that are highly social and interactive, informal, kinesthetic, and fun. The math games have kids moving around or incorporating art into the activities — great stuff for RB learners.

The games are targeted for grades K-5. They take only the most common household materials: chalk, cups, coins, crayons or markers, etc.

Many libraries seem to carry these!

  2. Wonderful Books!
